Non-urgent advice: Prescription Requests

Please note: prescription requests will not be taken over the telephone.

Please request medication at least 3 working days before you need your prescription.

We will contact you if we have a query about your request, either by text or telephone. If you do not hear from the surgery, you can assume that your prescription will have been sent to the pharmacy.

You must communicate with the pharmacy about your medication if this is not a regular prescription request, or if they have not dispensed to you before, so they know that you are expecting a prescription from the doctor. You cannot assume that they will have your medication ready for you to collect if you have not let them know about it.

You can use this form to request medication that a GP has put onto your ‘repeat’ list, or medication you have been advised to take by the midwife.

Order your medication online!

You can request your repeat prescriptions the following ways;

  • Complete and submit the form below – this will come directly to the surgery via email.
  • Post a written request, or put it in the surgery’s letterbox (front door).
  • Ask a pharmacy to order prescriptions on your behalf.

Prescribing of medication available to purchase over the counter

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group does not support the prescribing of medication that is available to buy from local pharmacies or supermarkets for children or adults with common illnesses and minor ailments that they could treat themselves at home.
