Due to the retirement of our Business Partner, we are looking for an experienced, highly accomplished and highly motivated Practice Business Manager to join our well-established and well-respected GP practice.

The Red House Surgery serves a patient list size of approximately 22,500 patients under a GMS contact, is based over two sites and has an exceptional team of clinical and non-clinical staff, including a range of PCN ARRS staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible, and have overall accountability, for all business aspects of the practice and will oversee the management of the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care by leading the practice team with vision and drive and meeting the practice agreed aims, objectives, targets, contractual and legal requirements and at the same time, recognising the financial limitations of today’s NHS.

Candidates must have, and are able to demonstrate, excellent interpersonal skills, inspiring leadership, be conscientious, have sound knowledge, skills and experience of Primary Care management; understanding its complexities, General Practice finance, strategic planning, IT in General Practice, HR, Health & Safety, CQC compliance and have hands on experience of day-to-day operational management. A formal relevant management and finance qualification would hold an advantage.

The position is supported by GP Partners (with regular protected business management sessions), Practice Manager, finance team who deal with payroll, pensions, and bookkeeping, Quality Assurance Manager, Reception Manager and Senior Nurse Manager.
