COVID-19 Vaccination Programme

Patients are asked not to contact their GP surgeries regarding COVID-19 vaccinations.

The NHS are starting to vaccinate the most at-risk priority groups, including over-80s and social care workers in local hospital hubs. They are starting to call people who fall into these priority groups over the coming weeks to book appointments for them.

If you have not yet been approached about having the COVID-19 vaccine, please read the information: why you are being asked to wait. You can also find further information on the COVID-19 vaccine here.

Covid-19 Vaccine – scam messages: We are aware of scam text messages circulating regarding the COVID-19 vaccine that includes a link asking for patient bank details.

“Please wait to be invited for a Covid-19 vaccination. You may receive this via a letter or text message asking you to call us. Please be aware that we will never ask for payment for the Covid-19 vaccination and any text message requesting payment should be ignored.”

Please continue to abide by all the social distancing, wearing of face masks and hand hygiene guidance, which will still save lives.
